Preston Smith
Preston (he/him) is a queer writer and editor based out of Los Angeles, California. He holds an MA in English literature and a Professional and Technical Writing Certificate from Wright State University. He has poetry and fiction published in a number of literary journals/magazines, and his journalist bylines include The List, Fuzzable, and CelebMix. His debut poetry chapbook, Red Rover, Red Lover, released from Roaring Junior Press in 2020, and his second, JOAN:ARC, is forthcoming from Ethel Zine & Micro Press. Some of his interests include fairy tales, mythologies, astrology, and space.
He is currently working on:
A poetry chapbook titled A SERIES OF COVERS in which each poem is named after a music album he loves.
His debut full-length poetry collection titled BENEATH HONEYSUCKLE RUM.
And a collection of reimagined Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales that put the focus on diverse queer voices.Â
